If you have ever wondered about vintage Easter decor – I am sharing all of my very favorite vintage Easter collections below!
With Easter Sunday right around the corner, I thought that it was about time for a vintage Easter decor roundup! Nothing fills my heart more after a long winter than the sights and sounds that comes with the spring season – and that includes the Easter season. From all the pastel colors to the blooming flowers to all of the sweet little chicks and rabbits – I look forward to all of it! Once the warmer weather hits I just can not wait to get out my Easter decor! While I do have a mix of old and new Easter decorations, I love to fill my shelves and cupboards full of vintage Easter decor most of all. For some reason, the charm of the older pieces just make my heart smile.
For the past several years I have shared my vintage Easter collection on Instagram and this year I am excited to be sharing a few of them here on the blog! Over the years I have used all of these things in and around my home. I promise – they really do work! My hope is that some of these pieces will inspire YOU to add a few vintage Easter touches to your shelves as well!
Paper Mache Bunnies
These bunnies are probably my favorite vintage Easter decoration of all. Paper Mache Bunnies are made from paper (pulp) and were once used to hold special Easter treats. They can be pretty fragile and some of the older ones (especially in mint condition) can be quite valuable. While some people don’t care for their ‘beaty little eyes,” I don’t mind them at all. These charming bunnies are always out at Easter time!
Chenielle Chicks
These Chenille chicks are so adorable. Many I have were made in Japan during the 1940-1950’s and their little legs are made of paper covered wire. Some of mine have party hats and others have pipe cleaner umbrellas. Some are even sitting in ‘egg shells.’ While they are small, they pack a big vintage Easter punch. I have rarely found one in perfect condition, but regardless, they are still really cute and perfect for Easter decorating.
*NOTE: I also love finding vintage spun cotton chicks (picture is below). I feel they are every bit as cute as the Chenille chicks above and I use them around the house as well!
Vintage Postcards
These are the best little items to pop into your home during the Easter season. They are pretty easy to find and they are not usually very expensive! I always tell people who want to begin adding vintage into their homes to begin with postcards – and these old Easter post cards are just perfect for the season!
Cement Bunnies
I always scoop up cement bunnies when I find them – old and new! I am here to tell ya though, the old ones – with the chippy paint – can not be beat! I love the weathered look that comes with a cement bunny! I usually find them at estate sales!
Easter Candy Boxes
I love a good vintage candy box (see more old candy boxes here) – and old Easter ones are so much fun to use during the Easter season! If you are lucky, you might just find a big one in the shape of an egg! I like to tuck these in and around my shelves during the Easter season – they sometimes have awesome graphics too! Keep your eyes peeled for these beauties!
Old Easter Books
OId children’s books are so much fun and I love to search thrift stores and estate sales for them. I really like finding the ones that correspond with the different seasons and holidays. I can usually find them for a great price and just like post cards, they are an easy way to add a touch of vintage Easter onto any shelf!
Easter Gurley Candles
You all must know how much I love a good Gurley candle by now (click here to read the history behind them)! These Easter candles are so very cute and charming and I am smitten with them all. I just added a few new ones to my collection a few days ago – and I am so glad that I did! Stay tuned because I plan to share more about these guys in the next few days!
Easter Blow Molds
While I do not currently have any outdoor Easter blow molds at this time, I have many in the past. In fact, I just sold the cutest Easter Lamb blow mold last week at my most recent Pasture Sale. You can see a picture of it here. I do, however, have a few carrots and a bunny! I plan to use these in the house this year – stay tuned!
Vintage Candy Molds
These are my newest vintage Easter addiction. I love the idea of incorporating these old items that were once used for actually making candy – as decor! The tarnished metal tells a story and I just love that.
Where To Find Them
I love to shop in person, so I always suggest scouring your local antique malls first. Shoot, if you are lucky then you might even find an item or two at a thrift store or yard sale! But, there are a lot of fun online options too. Below I have chosen a few of the items that I listed above that are for sale online! Just click the picture to shop!
Wrap Up
If you don’t have any vintage Easter decor, don’t worry! There are several spots to purchase vintage Easter inspired decor that won’t break the bank! Places like World Market and Amazon have great options and Etsy also has a wide variety of reproductions as well (like these printable graphics). Even better, you can simply take a vintage Easter graphic that you find online and cut it out and pop them onto a shelf! As long as you are decorating in a way that makes YOU happy, then the sky is the limit! And I hope this blog post inspires you to add in just a touch or two of vintage Easter into your homes this season! Cheers to all of the vintage Easter items out there!
P.S.
I have more to add to this list – stay tuned for more!

[…] I was very pleased with the way these all turned out and the best part is that it was very easy! I decided to style them right inside this little ceramic bunny stand that I recently picked up. (You can see more of my favorite vintage Easter decor here.) […]
