Fridays At 5:00: 5 Interesting FaceBook Pages That I Am Loving Right Now

I am the mother of three kids and my oldest is 16. As she explains it, “FaceBook is kind of for old people.” While it’s true that FaceBook has been around longer than more trendy social media apps such as Instagram and TikTok, the platform still has a lot to offer someone like me. I do enjoy seeing my pals posts on FaceBook and I too post there as well for both my personal and business account (You can follow me on FaceBook right here). But, I have recently found a few FaceBook pages that I am LOVING and I thought I would share them here with you today! I like a variety of things, so I will be interested to know if any of these interesting FaceBook Pages are of interest to you too.

Archaeology Magazine

According to their Bio, Archaeology Magazine is a FaceBook page that “tells the story of the human past through articles that explore the latest discoveries from around the world.” On this page, they share the coolest archaeological finds from around the world. It truly is fascinating to me to see things from long ago being unearthed – literally. The treasures that are being found around the world are so cool.

For example, a few days ago, Archaeology Magazine posted that there was recently a piece of paper found that had a message written on it from 1913. The coolest thing is that they said the message was stuffed inside a beer bottle and hidden behind a piece of crown molding in Michigan Central Station – a rail depot that opened in 1913 and closed in the 80s. I wonder what the message said!

In addition to this page, Archaeology Magazine offers a bi-monthly magazine subscription as well. But, I can promise you that you will find a lot of great content for free on their FaceBook Page.

For The Love Of Old Houses

If you love taking a peek into old homes across the globe, then this FaceBook Page is for you. For The Love Of Old Houses features mostly pre-1960’s homes that are for sale. They share interesting and beautiful homes daily! Their motto is, “connecting old house lovers to their dreams,” and I gotta tell you – this FaceBook page has me dreaming big time for sure. There are such stunning homes out there that are just waiting for new owners!

While I of course love looking inside these amazing places, it is also interesting to me to see how homes are priced geographically. I have found that there is SUCH A RANGE depending on where you live. Oh, and I think I found my dream home earlier today thanks to this page! They featured a beautiful white home nestled in on 34.75 acres in Nova Scotia! Who is moving with me?

Space.com

With two boys, ages 11 and 13, this Facebook page is one that we visit often (and so do 2.7 million people across the globe)! Space.com shares daily posts that range from rocket launches to NASA announcements to Satellite data and much more. Their basic mission is to keep YOU “updated and informed on all things SPACE.”

For example, today on their page, they are discussing this week’s annular solar eclipse known as the Ring Of Fire. And, they even shared a live stream of the eclipse in case you couldn’t see it in your area! How cool is that! I promise, if you enjoy all things space then you will enjoy Space.com.

Everyday Health

This FaceBook page is packed with all sorts of health and wellness tips and tricks. Everyday Health has so much information there that is centered around the living ‘right.’ There are a ton of videos to reference that range in topics from boosting your immune system to dealing with mental health issues. Everyday Health has been around for over a decade and is one of the biggest and most knowledgeable health communities on the web. If you are already into heath and wellness or if you are interested in learning more about it, then this is a FaceBook Page I think you will enjoy!

Goalcast

Goalcast is a a powerful FaceBook page that is full of inspiring and uplifting stories that are sure to give you hope as you tackle your fears and dreams. Goalcast believes that everyone has the power to transform their lives and they share stories that will inspire you to be a better person. From stories about kindness to stories about overcoming the odds, Goalcast stands out. In a world that can seem full of ‘bad news,’ Goalcast offers a spot for people to soak up encouragement and good vibes!
