There is nothing better for a dining room refresh than a new rug and today I am sharing all about this one from Revival!
You guys all know by now that I love a good “hunt.” And while I am usually hunting for cool vintage and antique items, I do also love to “hunt” for items that you can not find out “on the picking trail.” Today I am sharing a find of a different kind!
I have been on the hunt for a new rug for our dining room for a while now. We currently had an outdoor rug from a big box store (which I chose because I really liked the color) but sadly it was poor quality and was falling apart. For the last several months I have been casually looking for rugs that were both the same color and size as the current rug that I had. I wasn’t having any luck finding exactly what I wanted until I found Revival.
The Perfect Rug For My Dining Room Refresh
When Revival (you can check out all of the rugs that Revival has here) reached out and asked about a possible collaboration, I was thrilled. I have a few friends who already own a Revival rug and they have been really impressed with their products so I decided to take a look! And, as soon as I opened their website I was hooked! After spending a little time poking around on their site, I found THE PERFECT RUG for our dining room. I was thrilled to find this Lutwinus rug which is actually a one-of-a-kind vintage rug, hand-knotted in Isparta, Turkey! How cool is that! I love that I have a one-of-a-kind vintage rug in my home now!
It arrived just a few days ago and I could not wait to get it out and share it with you all. I was delighted as soon as I opened the box because it looked exactly like the photos on their website. So many times the things we see online are not quite the same in real life – this wasn’t the case with Revival. My new rug was exactly what I was expecting, in fact it was even better. Also, upon first glance I was instantly pleased and impressed with the quality. I couldn’t wait to get it placed in the dining room.
About The Room
The dining room is the first space that a guest will see when they walk into our home through the front door. Our home is really one huge open floor plan and the dining room is basically part of our entryway. For this reason, I like to make sure that our little dining room is nice and neat and well kept. The room isn’t very big so we make small changes when we can – like adding a new rug!
We really do not eat meals in here and (if I am being honest) we use this space for things like homework and crafts because the table is so huge! I actually have been on the hunt for the perfect new ‘antique’ pine table for this space … but for now we love our $200.00 yard sale table. And, the rug fits the current table perfectly. The Lutwinus rug is a 7 x 10 and it fits all of our chairs comfortably.
I am so thrilled with the way this rug elevated our dining room. Just a simple change like swapping out a rug can make such a difference – it is all in the details!
A Few More I Am Loving
Because the rug that I chose for our dining room refresh was a one-of-a-kind vintage item, sadly it isn’t available for you to purchase. But do NOT worry, their website is FULL of amazing options that you are sure to fall in love with! While I was searching their website for myself I can across SO Many rugs that I wanted to buy. I am sharing a few of my current favorites from the Revival website here below! Right now I am loving:
This round jute rug with black details.
This one-of-a-kind vintage rug with blush undertones.
This new orange and yellow Moroccan flatweave rug.
This Persian vintage style rug with hints navy details.
This large hand-knotted vintage rug from Turkey in warm beige.
Just a reminder that Revival offers both vintage rugs and new rugs. Their curated vintage pieces are one-of-a-kind and were made between 30 and 100 years ago. And all of their vintage rugs have been professionally cleaned. Their new rugs are “fresh off the loom, handwoven today in limited editions, designed and woven in collaboration with artisan partners.”
A Little Tip
As soon as I took my rug out of the box and got it on the floor, I noticed that my corners were curling up a bit. Did you know there is a quick fix for this? All you have to do is simply roll the rug under itself a bit. I was able to quickly fix that issue after seeing what to do on their instagram page. You can follow them on IG here.

Before I wrap this up, I wanted to just share this little blurb that I found on their website. As someone who loves vintage and history, this stood out to me:
“It’s easy to forget how our material possessions are made. Many decades ago, artisans created our one-of-a-kind pieces entirely by hand. The wool was clipped and collected sheep-by-sheep to be handspun into yarn. From there, the rugs were skillfully handwoven using legacy designs. No machines, just special care and intention at each step.”
