Looking for a few inexpensive ways to add a patriotic touch to your home this summer? I am sharing 5 Flag Favorites just in time for the season!
Like so many of you guys out there, I simply love our American flag and this time of year I can not help but get a little extra excited about using those stars and strips around the house, especially during these summer months. I love both brand new flags and vintage flags …and everything in between.
In honor of the Memorial Day weekend and to kick off the season of summer decorating, I thought it would be fun to share 5 Flag Favorites today for my Fridays at 5:00 blog post. These are all pieces tghat I feel would be super easy to use in your home and they are sure to make your space festive and pretty. Best of all they are budget friendly! I own (version of) all of these “flag favorites” and I love to put them on display this time of year and I think you will too!
Ok, so let’s start with this crazy good ‘tea stained’ American Flag bunting! I found this one and you can see it here (for under $15.00) – it has over 500 star reviews! I do already own a few different bunting flags, but not this stained version and I just ordered it myself. I can not wait to get it.
- I also really like this tea stained wind sock
- and this vintage style American Flag fabric banner
Look at these tiny little American Flag Toothpicks!
These are so fun to use this time of year! Yes, you can add them to your favorite cupcakes but you can also pop them into the soil of a plant or into a small vessel (I like to use an old medicine bottles) and display them on a shelf. They are very inexpensive but also very versatile – you just have to get a little creative!
- I also like these small “parade size” flags
- and this small desk size flag
I love to incorporate flag graphics around the house and I found a new version of this old book for under $5.00. This book is an easy option to decorate with because it is easy to display and can work well in so many areas of the house! It is also can evoke a little sense of nostalgia to your home! What a fun way to decorate for the season!
- I also have this older flag book
- and this adorable older flag book too!
I just bought a pair of these American Flag Pulldowns and I am excited to get this up this season! They were right around $35.00 and I had NO idea they were going to be so huge – but I love them all the same. These are also a great option to use when you want to do a swag or (something similar) but you don’t want to actually use a real flag.
- I also really liked these cotton pulldowns
- and this tea stained version
How charming is this vintage lunchbox? Isn’t it so great!? I love adding an occasional “moment of discovery” in my home and that is what I feel like this lunchbox is – a unique way to add a few stars and stripes into you home this season! And – it is literally the cutest little lunchbox on the planet! You have to get one. The only catch is that this is a true vintage piece so you have to snag them when you see them.
- I also like the amazing flag graphic on this one
- and this one too.
I hope you enjoyed these 5 Flag Favorites and I also hope that each of you have a fun filled Memorial Day Weekend. Cheers to adding a few stars and stripes to your decor this summer!
