Are you looking for a few ways to incorporate leaves into your home this fall? Leaves are the perfect fall decor piece for your home and I am sharing 5 during of the best the best vintage leaf finds to inspire you!
Adding a touch of “fall character” to your décor is easy with vintage leaf pieces. Available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, these pieces can be used to create an interesting focal point or to add a touch of the season to any room. Whether you are looking for large or small, there is sure to be a vintage leaf piece that suits your needs.
When it comes to decorating around the seasons, I always like to start with small shifts around my home and one of the things that I like to add are leaves. I’ve posted all about how I love and use a variety of Faux Fall Leaves here, but I also enjoy adding in leaf decor as well – and of course today I am sharing what I think are some of the best vintage fall leaf decor pieces out there!
I feel that leaves are very representative of the season and using leaves around the house is a great way to usher in that autumn feeling. I wanted to share with you a few of the best vintage fall leaf decor options out there! I just like using them to create a fall feeling that is cozy and warm right here at home.
Leaf Patterns On Dishes
To me there is nothing quite like an old plate or bowl (or pitcher, as seen above) covered with a beautiful graphic. And, lucky for us, there are so many pieces out there that have beautiful leaves covering them – which I think are perfect for fall. I really am loving the brown transferware pieces that have leaves, but you can find leaf prints in all sorts of various colors, sizes, and shapes! Best part, these pieces can sometimes be picked up for a super great deal if you are willing to hunt for them at a thrift store or resell shop!
Brass Leaves
These little brass leaf dishes make the cutest little leaf addition to your home. I like to put mine on a table top that is low (as opposed to a high shelf) so that I can see the detailing on these pieces. Not only are the the perfect golden fall color but they are also a quick and easy piece that you can add with no effort!
Leaf Jug
These old western stoneware jugs may be a little harder to find than some of these other leaf pieces on my list but they are such a unique and fun find that I just had to mention it here. I love this simple leaf graphic that is added here and I think it is makes the perfect ‘fall statement.” While I do not see them too often in my neck of the woods, I have seen them online in a variety of sizes so keep your eyes peeled while you are picking because you may just find one that is the perfect size for you.
Leaf Book
Who doesn’t love a good book, I know I sure do!!! And, what book could be better this time of year than one covered in leaves! Pop a book like these on the table or in a little vignette and you instantly have a pop of fall! I particularly enjoy these smaller golden guide books because their graphics are so interesting, don’t you think!
Leaf Details
If you look hard enough, you can find leaf detailing in many of the old vintage items out there, like this adirondack picture frame. (These frames are great to use – even when not filled with art – to add detail to a space.) I have seen all sorts of carved leaf detailing on old pieces over the years such as the leaves added onto architectural salvage pieces like this iron piece or this leaf scrollwork. I have even seen concrete leaves like these and planters with leaves. My guess is that if you begin looking for them, you will see leaves all over the place now too!

Wrap Up
Adding a few leaves here and there is a great way to add a touch of fall to your home and vintage leaf pieces are the best choice – in my “vintage loving opinion” anyways! They can be used to create a focal point in a room or to add some extra fall interest for the season. I hope my idea of the “best vintage leaf finds” inspires you to keep an eye out the leaf pieces – as we roll into fall!

Great ideas! I live in upstate NY and frequently come across the Adirondack frames. I also love the vintage books on trees.
