Yesterday, my husband and I helped a friend move into his new antique booth. He was “setting-up-shop” in an antique store up in Atlanta, Georgia called Antiques and Beyond. I had never been to this store before and I was excited to check it out! If you are an antique/vintage hunter then you know “that feeling” you get when you enter a new store for the first time. It’s a feeling of excitement and hope! You guys – this store did not disappoint! Come with me today as I take you on an antique store stroll. It really had some amazing pieces!
Antiques and Beyond is a store that is filled with a wide variety of things. Here you will find Vintage, Mid-Century Modern, Antiques, and everything in between. From cool light fixtures to amazing art, this store was packed. Just look at these cool balloon molds! Here you see that the dealer displayed them perfectly – as wall art. I hope you enjoy strolling the photos and I hope that you see something that you are drawn to!
ART
Can we just pause a moment to soak in the beauty of this amazing chippy floral oil painting? This piece was so great – perfectly imperfect! In addition to really pretty florals, Antiques and Beyond was filled with so many great pieces of art.
RUGS
There was only one booth with rugs but I sure did fall in love with each of them. They were each so unique and stunning. I just stood back and admired them from afar. These are truly pieces of art.
PRESERVED
Oh how I wish my boys could have been with us to see all of these amazing preserved pieces. They love fossils and this dealer had so so many. These were so very magical to look at!
SALVAGE
There were several pieces of ‘chippy goodness’ too!
HOME
I could share a million ‘home views’ from this shop with you! There were so many beautiful spots to soak in. Here are just a couple!
UNIQUE
There were lots and lots of unique things in this store as well. Here you can see this dealer mounted an old telephone dial “face” onto a lucite stand – as art for a shelf! How clever is that!
Check out these cool pieces! Each of these gold pieces are suspended on a tripod base! I believe them to be fishing weights – although I am not 100% positive. Nonetheless, I love how gorgeous they are!
Shells
I felt this was so pretty. What is even more impressive is that I didn’t seem to find one shell out of place or missing. I feel this is a true work of art.
OUTDOOR
The store had an awesome outdoor area to stroll! It was full of perfectly weathered pieces – just what I like!
BOOTH SET UP
The whole reason we came up to the Antiques and Beyond was to help our friend – Pocket Full Of Rye – move into his new booth! Didn’t he do a great job!
CONCULSION
I am so happy that I have a little space here dedicated to sharing all the things that I love – even a simple antique store stroll. In my opinion, it is always fun to walk through a new shop for the first time. My hope is that this stroll will inspire you to go out and seek new shops to wander. You never know what you may find! Happy Hunting!

Omygosh…..thank you for taking me (all of us) along on your outing! Such a wonderfully unique store….saw so many things I had questions about and would love to see in person! It’s been such a while since we’ve been able to do that sort of outing, so I’m sure you really enjoyed all the new beautiful things to look at and inspire you! TFS😊

I think the weights might be plumb bobs-used in building to set a vertical reference line. (I had to look up that part!) I love all the photos and stylings!
Ann C says
Yes, Laurie is correct. The gold weights are plumb Bob’s used in architecture to find vertical lines so walls are straight. I enjoyed looking without the temptation to buy.
