I’m always on the lookout for unique antique and vintage pieces, and I was excited to find some great ones when I went out shopping earlier. While there were many things that I found that I just couldn’t resist, I wanted to share 5 of my favorites with you all here on the blog. Hopefully you’ll love them as much as I do and you’ll be inspired to go hunting too!
This summer has been crazy busy and I haven’t had the chance to really do as much junking and antiquing as I normally do! So, as you can imagine, it was super fun for me to be able to sneak away and do a little shopping. I found some really fun things today but below I wanted to share my favorite five items from the day!
This Huge Galvanized Scoop
May I introduce you to the largest galvanized scoop in all of the land! (I even added the can of spray paint for size reference!). I was so tickled to find this and then fact that it is gives me the opportunity to really get creative with it! I am not sure how I am going to use it just yet – but I was excited to find such a large one!
These Brown Boxes
These boxes were such a fun find. I am not sure exactly what they were used for (I think perhaps they were used for seeds but I honestly haven’t spent the time to really research them yet) but I love the fact that they still have their paper labels attached and I love the unique shape of the boxes!
This Antique Brown Transferware Ironstone Pitcher and Basin
This may have been my absolute favorite find of the day. This delicate brown transferware pitcher and basin is crazed to perfect and worn in all the right places – yet it is still perfect to me! I love the brown any time of year but as ease into the fall season – I feel it was the perfect color to stumble upon!
This Antique Leather Tool Box
This leather tool caddy needs a really good cleaning – but I can already envision it filled with all sorts of beautiful things! For example, I can see it filled with all sorts of faux fall leaves and maybe a big pillar candle! Not certain yet, but I am excited to play around with it!
These Cement Planters
I am always on the lookout for new concrete pieces and I was so very thrilled to find these charming planters. I love their size but more than that, I love the flower detail – I hav’t seen this ‘pattern’ before. I am not sure if I will keep them and add them to the new back patio or if I will bring them to my booth! That is always the struggle for me!
Bonus: These Chocolate Egg Molds
As we begin to gear up for Fall, I realize that these are ‘not the right season’ … but I plan to tuck these sweet old candy molds away until next Easter. I was happy to find them though and t is always fun to shop ahead and have new fun pieces to play around with!
Extra Bonus: This Pete’s Brew
I found another one!!! If you follow me on instagram then you know that I love to find and save these old crocks and pitchers and bowls that “painted scenes” on them. Usually I find ones that have painted flowers on them – but this one is a bit EXTRA! Right?! I plan to use this to remove the paint. Join me over on IG … I will share the process in stories!
Wrap Up:
It is always fun to find things as you are hunting for vintage and antique goodies that inspire you and that can push you to think ‘out side of your box’ so to speak! One of my very favorite things to do is to find a cool old piece and figure out how to use it/style it in my home – so stay tuned to see how I use some of the pieces above! I hope you all enjoy YOUR next antique/vintage shopping trip as much as I enjoyed this one today!

I was so sure you would choose those beautiful iron clock pinecones as one of your 5 favorites! 😄 I can’t wait to see what you do with those as I’ve just started collecting them and need ideas! I LOVE the leather tool bag, though. You’re right, it would be beautiful with the Fall leaves!
