I am excited to share with you these 5 vintage ‘new to me’ pieces that are perfect for decorating in the summer months ahead! These 5 beauties are all things that I have picked up over this last year … so that means that this will be their first time on display in my home! Let me show you what I got!
Cake Carrier
I found this amazing vintage cake carrier at the little antique store that I have a booth in – and I am smitten with it! At $40.00 it was an ‘investment’ for me but I love the vibrant patriotic colors and I am drawn to the fact that it is a large piece.
Old Streamers
This roll of old streamers was actually a gift from a friend. He snagged it at an estate sale for only one dollar! I love the weathered look. The roll will look great on any shelf and can be used as a riser to raise a piece ‘up’ if needed.
Pepsi Sign
I got this old Pepsi piece at a local auction and I only paid $15.00 for it. It was so cheap because the bottom has been ‘cut’ (and it is uneven) but that didn’t bother me. I plan to use it on a shelf as a ‘backdrop’ and I will stage other pieces around it. I felt this little piece would add in the perfect amount of color in any ‘display.’
Ham Radio Post Cards
I snagged these old ham radio post cards at Scott Antiques Show a few months back. They were only one dollar a piece and at that price I decided to grab a few! I will stick this in a flower frog or lean it up against another piece for a splash of color this season!

Old Lunch Box
I got this lunch box at a show that I did back in October. (You can see more from that show here.) I actually bought it as all of the dealers were packing up and when I walked past it I spotted it immediately. I just knew that I needed it for my Patriotic displays. This old lunch box only cost me $18.00 and this piece has already found a home on top of my little cabinet with my glass jars! It’s the perfect little pop of red, white, and ‘NEW.’

Great post Emily! The chalkboard reminds me of one we had except that it was for Coke! I wish I knew what happened to it!! It probably got lost in our move 22+ years ago. Agh! Thanks for sharing your fun finds!
