I am so excited to be sharing all of the details about our new kitchen faucet. I feel that I chose to perfect one – come see why!
We are over two months into our kitchen remodel and I am happy to share that we finally have running water again! As you may know, two days ago we had our counters installed (you can read all about that right here) and yesterday we finally had our new kitchen faucet installed! You guys, I have never ever been so excited to wash dishes before in my life! What a difference running water makes – and what a difference a beautiful faucet makes too!
When it came to choosing my faucet, I was very picky. It had to be a deck mount faucet because of the placement of our sink and the first decision I made was to focus only on single hole faucets. I had originally had many triple hole faucets in mind (I will share some of my top contenders below) but after some consideration I decided to focus only on single hole options. As you will see in the full reveal, the sink is in the middle of our bar area – where I dream of my kiddos spreading out and doing things like homework and such. In the end I decided I wanted a very minimal and clean area for them to work in. I am so glad that I made that choice.
Next came the fun part – shopping around for the perfect one! There quite a few that I was drawn to, but ultimately I decided on the Kohler Artifacts Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet. You guys may laugh when I tell you this, but I chose this particular faucet because it had a very ‘old feel’ to it. I honestly feel that it reminds me of an old water fountain. I am not lying when I told you that I shopped for days and days – but as soon as I saw the Kohler Artifacts faucet I was hooked – I knew it had to be mine! Luckily it checked all the right boxes too. It had the perfect arc for our sink and it had the perfect pulldown sprayer as well.
After choosing the make and model, I did have to decide on the color. After much debate, I ended up choosing to go with polished nickel. I love it, mainly because it really mirrors that ‘old water fountain feel.”
The faucet was very easy to install. My husband dropped the faucet into the single hole of the counter and our contractor was able to hook up the water with no effort! The whole process only took a few minutes.
In a home, I feel that the sink really is the centerpiece of the kitchen. My goal here was to chose the perfect faucet that not only paired well with the new sink but that also complimented my personal style as well. Our new kitchen faucet has a clean look but is also full of character and, functions perfectly. I highly recommend it!
Here are a few of the other faucets that I was considering! To get more information on any of these just click the picture. I did add in a few of the triple hole faucets I was looking at initially.
