Vintage Fall Shelf Styling In Yellow

Are you ready to get those shelves ready for fall? I am sharing my vintage fall shelf styling with all the cheerful yellow pieces!

What could be more “FALL” than a beautifully styled shelf with vintage pieces? Whether you’re looking to add a touch of character to your home or simply decorate for the season, these simple tips will help you create a charming display.

If you don’t like the color yellow then you may just want to skip this entire post! Of course I am just kidding but truly, the star of the show today is yellow and all it’s golden goodness!

As you may know, I have no true professional training when it comes to decorating and ‘styling’ – I simply do what makes me happy and as it turns out – that is the best recipe for success I feel! One of the main points that I like to remind people of is that you should use what you love – and find a way to make it work! That is what I did here on these shelves styled for fall!

Not only did I use natural fall pieces that you might see everyday (stems, leaves and gourds), but I also used things that may seem a bit “odd” upon first glance.

I love to get creative when I am working in my spaces and so this time around I chose to focus on two pieces while tackling these shelves: the yellow mushroom watering can and the worn leather tool tote. These two items may seem a bit ‘unexpected’ but I was able to make them the stars of these shelves!

Don’t be afraid to get creative with color and texture. With little effort, you can turn your shelves into a visual feast for the eyes! As you can see here, I added some dried beans into this yellowware mold and used them not only to add interest but also to hold the sweet gourd in place!

I also recently found this leather gun holster and I decided to use it here. I like the way that it echos the leather tool tote in the front of this space and it also serves as the sweetest little ‘vase’ to hold some of my dried flowers!
